It has been many years since I was involved with B&O audio equipment but I think I recall being able to remotely control certain turntables with certain systems through the remote control.  I own a TX2 and am considering adding an old Beocenter 9000 and was wondering if I would have remote control of the TX2 and what would be needed to gain control?  Also, I believe that the Beocenter 9000 has preamp out feature as well.  What is the proper cord needed to allow me to use the preamp out and connect with RCA plugs to a conventional amplifier?

Thank you for the help,

Mark

Hi Mark

The short answer is no

TX2 is without datalink. However It is inside the turntable. You have to make larger modifications, as you have to change the phono plug to the 7 pin din plug including the cable. Scematic drawing of how to do , you can find here on Beoworld, under servicemanual BG 9500 / BG 6500 / BG 7000

Hey Mark - did you go through changing the RCA connection to the 7-pin DIN on your TX2?

I know it has been a while but I'm thinking of doing it for my TX2 (with beocenter 9000)

thanks,

jakob

I ended up not getting the Beocenter 9000 because the cd player was inop when I went to see it.  Sorry I couldn't be of more help.
