Hi there,
I need to remove the rosewood panels/cabinet to effect repairs to the wood itself.
Anyone have any tips as to the best way to do this.? Removing the panels from the BM8000 was simplicity itself as they are on clips whereas the Beocord appears to have a one-piece cabinet with much of the electronics attached.
Many thanks,
Alan
Hi
I didn't know that they were "clip-on" on the Beomaster. However - as you write - the Beocord upper cabinet is one-piece, with the wood-veneer glued on.
So, there's only the "hard way" - to remove the electronics from the frame. Or do the wood work with the cabinet "in place".
Work carefully with a hairdryer and a spatula or hobbyknife. The heat will losen the glue - and you can heat it again and put the veneer back on.

Thanks both,
I will try the hairdryer, having established that my wife has one.
As for me, that particular item of domestic technology has been sadly redundant for several years ;-)
Best,
