I received a non working Beogram 7000 which has a pre-amp for restoration.
Unfortunately both mechanical and electronic parts are in bad shape but the deck itself is in great cosmetic order.
I have a good working Beogram 5005 of which the the dust cover is broken.
I want to use the 5005 as a donor for the 7000.
Both record decks are similar and one can put the cabinet and dust cover of the 7000 on the bottom plate of the 5005.
The only issue I see is the pre-amp part and the silent switch.
I have to exchange the transformers as the one of the 7000 provides power for the pre_amp.
The muting pcb's are both connected to the main pcb with a 7 pin connector. But the connectors have a different shape so it's not possible to just switch parts.I need to swith them as the tonearm and pre_amp are connect to the muting pcb.
Is it possible to solder the connector of the 7000 on the main pcb board of the 5005? Will it work?
I don't find any usefull information in the service manual, its's actually the same service manual for both types.
Thanks
Kristof
