Hi
Would ask you for help, advice, guidance....I purchase B&O units in the UK on a number of occasions. In most cases, sellers are not willing to pack goods for the courier pick up.Is there a courier service in the UK who could come for the units, pack it safe and send it to my address. From UK to EU.
thanks for answer :)
any idea ?
The short answer is no.
In any event packing this type of equipment is not about simply wrapping in plenty of bubble wrap and boxing it up, there is the question of internal packaging and transit fitments which the average joe would not have a clue about.
You could not make a living being a specialist B&O packer!

Hi marexy,
The best answer is to only buy from a professional B&O seller who has the knowledge to correctly pack the items for shipping. They should also verify that the items are working and hopefully also offer a warranty as well.
If you do want to buy items of value from a private seller, I would suggest collecting the goods in person where possible, so that you can see them working and ensure that they are safe to be transported. Hope this helps.
Kind regards, Steve.

hi
Thanks for answers ...
it's to bad there is no service like that in UK :(
You could try AnyVan.com

I suspect that they prefer to move items of furniture though, so you might still have to get the seller to organise the initial packing and protection of B&O equipment. They seem to have a presence on most of eBay.co.uk for large items.
Another option would be to look at a U.K. auction site listed on <the-saleroom.com> and look at the various packing and courier companies recommended by the auction sites ( who invariably do not do their own packing and posting). In fact search that site for Bang and Olufsen items and then check which company is recommended for packing by the auctioneer.

First, the seller has to obtain a suitable box. No easy matter. They don't grow on trees, most B&O dealers will not order boxes and what else comes in a box suitable for a pair of 6000's?
Then buy a roll of bubble wrap! Again not easy or cheap.
Carriage on box/bubble wrap to pay and I doubt that 30 GBP would cover all the costs.
This is the reason that most auction sales in the UK say collect only and courier deliveries almost always arrive damaged.
Marexy,
Whereabouts in the UK are you?
I'm in Nottingham and might be able to help
