Hi you all. Smile

I have been using a vintage B&O sound system for awhile, but now entered "modern" age and bought a beovision 10-40 and a 7-32.

10-40 in living room

The model is 9570 and it has DVB-HD T/C mkI-module with 0.1.9.9-software version. The flat that we now live in has only antenna, and the signal is somewhat weak in strength, about 50%.

It seems there should be some HD to be received via antenna, but the information available is a bit twisted - others claim that one needs T2-receiver already to receive free HD, and others that only after 2020 in Finland one must have T2 receiver to see any HD.

In any case the search does not result any HD.

There has been a program to update the module, but local dealer claimed that it is over. Also the official price was unthinkable high - I would rather use this tv as a fishnetweight than put another 1000€ in it.

-> Is there a cheaper way to get original DVB HD T2/C-module?

The price is probably the reason why people have been buying separate digital receivers. I have been looking for user-experience of those, but they all are a few years old. I would appreciate smooth operation with Beo4-5-(6), no need to record anything.

-> Which receiver would be the optimal purchase here in Finland right now?

I received only one remote with these two visions - Beo4 - so I need to buy another one. According to the user-guide it will work with Beo4 and Beo5. This site claims it would work also with Beo6.

-> Is there anything special in Beo5 and Beo6 to want for usage with 10-40?

-> Does the Beo6 really work with this tv?

With the remote Beo4 I can not find anything from the menu to operate motor-stand with. User guide has a menu shown, but this 10-40 has different Finnish menu. The stand moves a bit overtime I open and close the tv.

-> What to do?

I would be interested in adding some speakers, but that active-speaker-world is a bit strange to me. The space we watch tv is only about 10m2, so we can not place here anything powerful or large. The prices of the systems seems to be often stupendous - I would need something reasonable. I could see a pair of small speakers both sides of the tv. We have no need to send sound to different rooms, this would be only for the tv.

-> What could one recommend to start with?

7-32 in bedroom

The type is 9311 with a manual wall stand and 6210-speaker system. I can not find information of the module or software from the menu. We have no antenna for this room right now.

-> Is there a replacable module somewhere, and what are the options? What can I receive with this?

I connected this to a Mac Mini with a dvi/hdmi-adapter and ja dcv-cable using instructions made for connecting apple tv. It seems to work nicely, but it uses automatically 1366x768 resolution instead of 720p (1280x720) with is the only other option. I do not know if this has anything to do with the problem I have with Amazon PrimeVideo - It does not want to work, and the reason might be that Prime insists my whole systems is HDCP compliant, errorcode is 7279. I have nothing good to say about any customer-service of any streaming-services, so I am reluctant to contact them. The will not be able to help if previous experiences mean anything. Atleast Netflix, Youtube and Yleareena work without any problems.

-> Anyone solved this issue with 7-32 and Prime?

The DVD hatch is supposed to have an aluminium panel, and it is missing.

-> Does anyone have a panel to sell for a reasonable price?
