Dear all,

Since not long ago I loose control of my LC2 with the Beo4 after a power out.

The LC2 works by hand but not with the remote.

After power on again for a few hours the remote works again but today it doesn’t (while it works by hand).

Any clue ?

I suppose that if the fuse was dead the light won’t work at all.

I have a similar problem with one of my LC1’s.

Works manually, but not with the remote.

Faulty ir-receiver, I guess.

Probably easier to repair on a LC2 than on a LC1 - assuming you can get the parts needed.....from another LC2.

There is a tv - and there is a BV

Ir can be fixed on LC2, no problem. Touch etc.

Indeed a LC2 is easier to acces than LC1.

Ok guys thank you.

I think I bought it around 1997 it’s more than twenty years old.

Will ask my dealer/technician what he can do for an IR sensor.

@ BeoGreg

There are plenty of repair guides around. These Light Controllers can like any old school B&O gear almost always be repaired.

Where did all these greatl accessories go by the way?

Just had my tech on the phone who said over a dead fuse never had an IR sensor case.

I asked if he had a lutron he said yes, but I realise checking lutron site that it’s not a direct LC2 replacement.

Will go to the shop on tuesday to see that lutron stuff.

It's usually down to dying electrolytic caps,- once replaced the receiver will be back in business.

Believe it or not, after 3 or 4 hours LC2 works again with remote.

Until the next power out...
