Hi all,

I have gotten some requests through here and Instagram about refurbishing Pentas.

How about we make some guide for people that want to refurbish them?

I am thinking it should contain the following:

-What to think of when buying used Pentas

-Refoaming mid-range units

-Cosmetics

-What you can amplify them with

-Making them wireless

-Refretting

I think there are people here that have some good pictures at least from the refoaming job, but I do not want to use them without permission.

Anyone who wants to join me on this?

"You think we can slap some oak on this thing?"

I will be completely refurbing 4 Penta MK3's in the next few months. I will take some pictures of the entire progress as they come along, and put them here :).

It will be re-fretting/re-foaming/refurb-adjust of amplifier, and painting of the amplifier panels.

/Jacob

I’d be very interested in reading as I’m tempted to get a pair!
