Hi..

I am thinking of selling my Beocord 8000.

I have owned it from new 1980 I think!

I have to be honest I have not used it a lot.. wasted on me considering it's new cost!

I am sure the belt needs replacing?

Also don't know if this is a drive issue but when play is pressed play head meets tape then immediately goes back to original position, also when you press f.fwd.. solenoid tries but stops immediately

Any advice would be amazing!

Thanks so much.Smile

Gary.

Video recorders generally have a very limited amount of takers.
Having said that, a video recorder of this type is old and rare enough to be collectable.
Particularly if in good condition and if original accessories, the take-up reel, tapes, manuals etc. or perhaps the original box is included.
Shipping could be expensive though as it weighs half a ton.

Let's see a photo or two.

The player is cosmetically in really very fine condition.. apart from a very small chip to front right side edge of teak.. which is not really noticeable when player is sitting on it's feet. looks worse with Macro shot..

Ah, that is a Beocord 8000 rather than the Beocord 4000 Martin was referring to.

Take it to Ebay or sign up for a silver membership here and put it in the sales section.
Or - even better - why not make it work and use it?
