does any out there in beoland know how to operate an old shop use 8 way speaker switch box?

i have tried a few eyes just in case there was a problem with the ir eye but still i cannot get it to switch between outputs.

any help would be great, i have tried with a beo4 and link 1000 with various button presses but cannot seem to guess the way to switch!

many thanks for your help in advance.

I remember these switches Ray,but I think they worked with a special remote based on the old "mars bar" handset, using  a 36khz modulated ir carrier.

They were provided by B&O as part of a store fitting.Obviously to be able to provide a comparison between different 'speakers, but we rarely had any "audiophile" type customer's,so didn't really need it.

I don't imagine it was very "high tech",so a peek inside will probably reveal all?

It might be worth asking B&O directly, but it's a long shot!

Regards,

Nick

Second thoughts, having magnified your 'photo,I notice it has both passive and powerlink inputs,so is a later version of the kit I remember?

Same quandry though, working out how to control it?The sensor suggest's 455Khz carrier?

Have you ventured inside the beast yet?

Regards,

Nick
