Is de DVD in the 7-32 serie the same in a Mk1 as in a Mk5 ?

And is it easy to change over?

best wishes, Ken

Hello Ken,

I'm going to guess that even if the DVD Player is the same (and I'd guess it's probably based on the Pioneer player from the BeoCenter 2?) the software accompanying it will be different...

Do you need a DVD player from a Mk1, or a Mk5?  I may have a spare I can let you have cheaply...

Hi Lee,

Thanks for the answer. I have a broken Mk2 and wonder if it's worth taken the DVD player out, before a scrap it.

Hello Ken,

It is absolutely not worth taking out the DVD player before you scrap it, unless you have another Mk2 you plan to keep for a long time (and why would you, these days?)

If you really must though (!!) then you'll need to remove the back from the TV to access the DVD 'module'.  I don't think it's a huge job.

Best wishes, Ken
