hi,

not sure if if anyone can help me, a few years ago a B &O tech managed to resolder an auxillary cable so that when plugged into the aux socket of a beosound 3000, it was able to output audio to my Beosound one, therefore using the Beosound one as a satellite speaker on the Beosound 3000 system.

ive Just pulled the cable through my wall after re-siting the Beosound one and managed to rip the head off the Beosound one end of the cable. Does anyone know which wires should be soldered to which terminal ?

i know the tech said he was reversing a couple of the wires to enable the cable to output from the Beosound 3000 aux rather than input, but not sure what the Beosound one end end the lead should be??

thanks in advance !!

Dismantle the undamaged connection, and see where the wires are soldered, and what colour's  they are?

You can see the pin's are numbered

The wire connected to pin 1 at the Beosound 3000 end should go to pin 3 at the BS1 end

The wire at pin 4 at the BS3000 should go to pin 5 at the BS1 end.

The screen part of the cable(outer braid) is connected to pin 2 at both ends.

.If there are other wires in there too, they can be left disconnected,at the BS1 end,as they are not used, but make sure that they can't short out to the case when you assemble the connector.

That’s a great help thankyou, I spent 2 hours yesterday soldering the wires in different configurations and then managed to knock the beosound one off the table onto a marble floor!!! Top plastic above the handle now mashed!! Still all working but needs some cosmetic work!!

thanks again, much appreciated.
