I am having a problem with my Beosound 3000. When it is plugged in it makes a strange random noise that sounds like someone quickly opening a large zip fastener, and then even after turning it off and removing the mains plug from the wall socket completely, it continues to randomly make the zipping sound intermittently for some time before becoming silent. Do any of the internal components hold a charge which might result in this symptom? Or is there another answer.

Welcome to Beoworld,

yes, there are internal components (capacitors...) that hold charge for some time after the system is powered off or disconnected from an outlet.
The symptoms don't sound good and I wouldn't let it stay connected to an outlet. You should have it repaired!
