Good day all and thank You for a splendid forum - have found answers to all my questions until now...
After my Beosund Overture broke down I've invested in a Beomaster 5/Beosound 5 which works great with my Beolab 8000. The Beolab 3500 in the kitchen shows A.TP2 instead of N-MUSIC so I guess a software upgrade would be in place. The real problem is that I can only start Beolab 3500 on the display - when started from the Beo4 it first shows RADIO (same as when started from the display) but then, instead of finding the source N-Music, it stays silent. The Beo4 is EE 3.4 SW 3.0 - would maybe an upgrade on that solve the problem.
Thanks in advance

Hello & welcome to the forum!
If you don't use your Ouverture anymore (and the BSd/BM 5 is the only audio source) the IR command "RADIO" can be "re-used" instead of "N.RADIO" ,the command "CD" instead of "N.MUSIC" .
Chage in the menu "SETTINGS" the "ROLE" from default setting N.MUSIC = "N.MUSIC" > to > N.MUSIC = "CD"and from default setting N.RADIO = "N.RADIO" > to > N.RADIO = "RADIO".
If "RADIO" and "CD" are still needed for a "conventional" B&O audio system only an update of your BLb 3500, the Beo 4and very likely the audiosystem will solve the issue. (software and possibly some hardware updates required)
Amazing!! tks Vienna !!
they are the only parts in the system so far. Changing the settings I can again control the system with the "old labels" CD and RADIO which my old parts recognize.
Again a thousand thanks!!!!
