Hello, B&O lovers. I’ve recently had the opportunity to sell some B&O for a friend and neighbor. She has the Beolab Penta III (2), MX 5500, Beocord VX 5000, Beomaster 7000, Beocord 7000, Beogram 7000, and the Beogram CD 7000.

Does anyone know a reasonable price for these items? Everyone I’ve asked says to go to eBay to see what the items are selling for from other people. The problem is, my retired friend, an older lady, believes it’s all worth about $8000, but based on what I’ve seen, that’s just unreasonable. Do you know the original price for these items? Everything is barely used. Please give me some advice and/or feedback.

Thank you!

I don't live there but did a quick ebay/google and that seems sort of right. The penta's are great but really not worth that much anymore. I would expect to pay less for all this here, but these items tend to be more expensive in the USA. What price do you think you should get?

I’m thinking a reasonable price would be $3000 for everything

Do you happen to know which element/needle is on the beogram 7000?

For reference the listed setup would be around 1000$ in Denmark

The old video stuff is almost for free...

These are the more expensive lots left,- the more reasonably priced units go pretty fast (hours)

yes, an mmc1 or mmc2 needle(and just the needle) basically new are big money. A new mmc2 needle is about 900 bucks new and an mmc1 is even more. The way you make it sound is that everything is basically in mint/new condition right? I looked and I only see very much used(dings and scratches) penta 2's for sale in the USA for 1500 dollar, so basically penta 3's in mint condition should be more. It's hard to tell exactly how prices are for B&O in the state since there is so little and you guys have a 30% price hike compared too here.

after looking in to it a bit more, 8K may be high. The TV and are at best 250 ish i would say, but probably more in the 100-150 range in normal condition. A lot would depend on how actually mint/unused it is and check if you can find out which needle is on there(it usually says it right on the top).

I still haven't sold them. I'd like to get 1,500. But if you're not local to Texas, near Houston, then I'm not selling.

no one is going to want that old *** except maybe the pentas.  And they aren't worth $1500

I wish you were near me, that's exactly the stuff I love, Id take the MX and VX in a second, too rare in the US.

Forget all about 8000$ - the TV and video is worth almost nothing today. In Denmark those MX's are given away for free - the VX video recorder will probably need some service - those machines really get some issues over the years.
The Pentas probably have some foam-rot in the 8 mid-range speakers... no matter how little they have been used.
The Music system is the most interesting -especially the Beogram 7000, which is quite rare. The taperecorder will probably need new belts.

But - as others have mentioned - the best thing is to look it up on the net - Ebay and other sites, to give you an idea what the prices are in your area.
