hello all

I've a Moment, with a Zen Mini NAS - and my digital music library is saved to it (approx 40k tracks) . However the Zen doesn't offer playlists as an option.

I don't want to have to access my iTunes library as that would mean having our home PC on all the time, even though this does have all of my playlists (approximately 30 of these, created over several years).

I have been pointed in the direction of the app Glider - which does have a playlist function but which will mean creating my playlists all over again and (I believe) having the only option of using the Glider app via Bluetooth - rather than being able to solely use the B&O app - which doesn't really appeal.

I do also have a WD Cloud unit which is showing on the B&O app so i can investigate whether that can include playlists but I'd be really keen to hear any suggestions anyone has.......

PS. I'm not keen to go down the Deezer / Spotify route unless absolutely necessary

The Moment playlists seen through the JukeBox are a mix of your Deezer playlists and your DLNA server playlists.

If your DLNA server manages playlists, then they will be exposed to the DLNA controller such as the Moment or the B&O app.

I then think that what you need is a DLNA server that manages playlists and a front end to it to build these playlists.

To give you two examples, Twonky has its own playlists such as last played, last added , most played and it can also expose playlists created in iTunes if it has access to an iTunes managed collection, but you cannot build Twonky playlists yourself (unless someone tells me how) as there is no UI to to that.

On the other side Synology native DLNA service manages playlists and you can manage your collection including your own playlists through the Synology DS Audio application.

I have the Twonky setup.

Similarly the QNAP Nas I use allows you to create playlists through its music server app on a desktop. These are all visible to the Moment

Interesting. Do you have some instructions to how you create playlists in Synology that Moment can show?

On which platform are you running Twonky? NAS, Windows, Mac, etc...? There is a setting in the twonkyserver.ini file to activate iTunes playlists.

Note that smart playlists are not supported.
