Beomaster 1200 rg Beogram not working

Hi everyone, 

I have just purchased a beautiful Beomaster 1200 rg but unfortunately the Beogram doesn't work.

I believe it should be a Beogram 1000, and the previous owner said it was a problem with the motor. 

I have absolutely no idea where to start, so please can anyone advise about where to start when attempting to solve this problem?

What are the exact symptoms?
Most of these decks will need fresh oil pressed into the motor bearing material, a new belt and usually also a new idler wheel.
The latter two are easy, the motor bearings a bit more involved as they are Oilite type bearings.
But doable.
