For temporarily use I picked up a BeoVision 4-50 yesterday (720p HD Ready Version).

It came with a Beosystem 1.
I never knew this was sold in Europe as well (s. Details on Beoworld here).

The BeoSystem has software 16.0 so can control the display's DVI port to attach an HD device.
Plus - what surprised me a lot - it has a VGA Cinema out to connect a projector.

Has anybody seen these before?
Any idea what is the max. resolution of a projector that can be used?

Thanks in advance.
Ralf

PS: Can post pics if there is interest.

The Beosytem 1 is a worthless piece of garbage, in my opinion. You're lucky if you might get $200 to $300 for it. The BeoSystem 1 can only output 480p OR 1080i. It can't even output at 720p - which makes it useless for current Apple TVs. Why B&O failed to support 720p with it is a mystery to me.

You could easily replace the BeoSystem 1 with a BeoSystem 3 and find a tremendous improvement with the BeoVision 4.

HD device is connected to Beovision 4 so what the BeoSystem

supports as resolution is not important. I could add another card in the Beovision 4 slot and use a second HD input.

BeoSystem 1 works as speaker switch and PUC controller only.

Sure BeoSystem 3/4 are superior.

No idea about Apple TV, we don‘t have any. Strange that these don‘t support 1080i. But as written above, this does not matter.
