For some years I have owned a beovision 7-40 mk3 and I have spent a lot of time and money on creating a cinema setup with a projector and a screen in the same room angled 90 degrees to the tv.
One obstacle I have had all the time is that Beosystem 3 cannot create a phantom center. I have a 7.4 for the tv mode, but I can’t fit another center for the cinema mode. After all, my cinema fronts are BL5s, so I think I should be alright without the center.
Finally my service center called last week and told me the latest BV7 software now fixed this issue.
This morning I had the software installed, but my high hopes wash pretty quickly taken down. The software update now makes it possible to not configure a center channel, but then it will not run in speaker mode 5.
So now I got a bass boosted stereo signal from 4 speakers and what kind of cinema is that!
After two software updates in 6 month and no solution I am ready to quit. So I guess my question now is: Are there any system from B&O that I can buy and make this happen? Anything at all?
If not I just upgraded to Beoworld gold member so my alternative now is to post a lot of nice used B&O for sale on the forum!
