I have an Avant DVD 32 Mk4 and have been feeding a Kodi image and sound (from a Raspberry Pi) through the close-up panel.

However I also want to reach Kodi from a BeoCenter 6-26 in another room. This requires a Beo5 or Beo6, as a Beo4 controller cannot invoke the close-up panel on a Video Master over Masterlink. I want to find a way to use a Beo4.

My great idea was therefore to connect Kodi to the Decoder SCART, set TV channel 1 to use the Decoder, and then it would be easy to select Kodi from the other room as a TV channel.

However this approach gives me video, but no sound, even on the Avant. Surely if Decoder is selected, the Decoder SCART should supply the sound!

Can anyone tell me why this doesn't work?

(oh, and I should mention that I already have other devices connected to the other two SCARTs)

Hah! I moved the phono/SCART adapter plug into the AV socket and it worked OK. Put it back into the Decoder socket and now it works! Must have been a bad connection - perhaps because that socket has never been used since I got the TV.

So - problem solved.
