Hello,

I have two pair of Beovox S45-2.

The first pair is 6312T. On eof the woofer is damaged so i purchased a second pair to replce the woofer.

The second pair is 6312.

Now, the woofer look slightly different. The woofer for the 6312T is marked 0247, while the woofer on the 6312 is marked 4261.

Will I be fine replacing the single woofer, or should I replace both? I have also notices that the tweeters differ in colour. The 6312T tweeter is black, while the 6312 tweeter is "shiny". Is the difference only cometical?

Thanks!

Welcome.
And thanks for signing up as a silver member, your support is appreciated!

The numbers you mention are probably production date codes.
A couple of photos would allow us to tell you, what is wrong and what is right.

Both woofers look original to Type 6302, 6312 and 6312T.
The woofers are identical and interchangeable.
The minor differences in color etc. points to nothing more than different production batches.

If the woofer cone has seized solid, it can most likely be repaired.
Do a search in this forum, it's a common fault and it comes up regularly.

Thanks for clarifying and putting my mind to rest :)

I have tried fixing the woofer, following the guides on this forum, but withough success. It keeps locking to the coil when I try the shiming method, so I eventually concluded that this was beyond my expertise and got a new set of speakers to replace the woofer.
