Hi,

I have just installed an Essence in my office connected to BL8000 speakers.

All the connection are wired I do not use the Wifi. I have 2 questions :

What is the best way to play all the PC sounds (windows 10) on the speakers. I have tried Airfoil but It crashes a lot and the worst is the sound delay of 4-5 seconds.

When you listen to music the sound delay is not an issue but when you are having a skype it is a big problem.

THanks by advance for your help,

Best Regards.,

Matthieu

Hi Matthieu,

There should be an option within the Essence settings marked "Network Delay", which defaults to 1000 milliseconds (1 second of delay) - this option allows the Essence to synchronise with other wireless B&O products.  If you reduce this setting to 50mS or less, then there should be no noticeable delay.

You may need to reset the Essence or download the BeoSetup app to access the Network Delay setting.

Kind regards, Steve.

Steve.

You can get to the Essence configuration via the BeoApp. I think the BeoSetup app is no longer available.

In the BeoApp, select the “gear” icon in the upper right corner of the home screen, then navigate through products, your Essence name, configure, settings, beolink, sound synchronization.

This is not the problem for the only PC, but on a laptop also. I have just recently faced a lot of issue with it on my HP laptop. The essence sounds delayed on it, so I re[pprted this on HP Australia Support and what they suggest me is update the Windows and rthe system as well to get the better sound on it.

Thanks, I will try tommorow while I am at the office.

I am a little bit confused about the software that I should use. So far I have two sofware on my Iphone "Beosetup" and "Bang & Olufsen". I do not have any software on my PC Windows 10.

Also which software would you use to stream all pc sounds to the Essence with Airplay ?
