Hello to all,
i have a moment and a bs9000 connected to it.
i want to purchase a turntable rega planar 3.
cannot decide whether to to connect it thought bs9000 aux in or straight to monent
if it is connected through bs 9000 i only need a phono stage, if directly to moment i need a phone stage as well as a switch
so my three questions are
a) if through bs9000 aux in, will there be a sound quality issue?
b) if straight to moment is there a switch with included phono stage?
c) is there a good looking switch or stage? A one i dont have to hide it
I have my record player (Beogram 2200) connected (via RIAA amplifier) directly to Moments phono connections. Moment has auto sensing on the inputs so it switches automatically to that source when the needle lands on the record.
Works great.
Im not sure what you mean with "a switch with included phono stage" in your question b)

Thank you for your answer.
in my b question: moment has one line in. I want to be able to change from turntable to bs9000 without changing cables. So i need a switch with two input and one output. This switch should have line in, phono in and line out. So it should have included phono preamp. Hope i covered your question
Hi eprokos,
I am not aware of any combined switchers with line and phono inputs, but you can certainly get the same results with a separate switcher and phono pre-amp. Please feel free to get in touch via my sponsor link below if you would like any help with suitable devices to get everything connected.
Kind regards, Steve.

I am thinking of this one

and using the record out to the input of the moment
what is your opinion?
Hi,
Yes, this will work. This cable will link the Rega Brio amplifier to the Aux socket of the Beosound 9000:-

Hi Steve,
why connect to bs9000, and not the bs9000 to the rega brio and the brio to the moment?
thank you
Yes, that is also a valid option - Connecting the Rega Brio amp directly to the moment is also a good option. Please let me know if you need any help with the connections to get everything working.
