Hi
I tried to connect my apple tv to my old Beovision 6, the first version with dvi input. But the picture is not what it should be, there are green lines agll over the picture, see picture below. Anyone know how to fix this?
You haven't said what model of Apple TV you are using, or how you are connecting it to the TV (just direct to DVI, or via some sort of adaptor), but have you tried changing the output resolution of the ATV?
In order to get the ATV to cycle through resolutions:
- On Apple TV 4K or Apple TV (4th generation), hold Menu and Volume Down for 5 seconds, then release. Your Apple TV will switch to a new resolution every 20 seconds. Select OK to choose a resolution or Cancel to quit.
- For Apple TV (2nd or 3rd generation), hold Menu and Up for 5 seconds. Your Apple TV will switch to a new resolution every 20 seconds. Select OK to choose a resolution or Cancel to quit.
I'm using an hdmi cable and a hdmi to dvi adaptor, apple tv 3rd generation. when the resolution is set to 720P 60Hz the green lines appear, 480P - 60Hz work but won't fill the whole tv screen and the picture is stretched out.
I hope the attached picture will been shown
My ATV4 is outputting 720p 50Hz to my BV6-26 and it works just fine. Do the SCART inputs work without difficulties?
Have you tried:
- Another device in place of the ATV?
- Different cables?
I have not been able to use the scart but I have used a windows based computer with out any issues with the same cables.
It’s a bit hard to reply on my iPhone so I hope my answer make sense
I seem to remember when I tried to do this I found out that not all the TVs had some sort of circuit inside to support DVI - is that correct? I had similar problems and the sreen kept blanking as well
