Is it this? (LINK)
IFTTT will allow you to literally trigger an event on your system for virtually anything you can imagine. As an example you could trigger IFTTT to tell the BLGW to turn down your thermostat t 62 degrees if Jamaica's temperature gets above 95 degrees. A very powerful tool for true automation.
Ah, you know... A little B&O here, a little there
Technology is getting mind blowing isn't it.
In the age of digitally being able to have anything I want, I find it increasingly difficult to know exactly what I want.....
I can see benefits with regards efficiency (fuel, heat , light etc) and also time - but will this make us truly happy having everything automated to this level?
Agreed. Their are two people who will really benefit from IFTTT in my mind. The completely organized person and the completely mindless person. The organized wants everything to happen to the T when things happen and can be controlled automatically. The mindless can't remember to make adjustments and wants to have the system think for them to improve their "life" experience.
I fall in between myself. Currently, only using IFTTT as mjmedlo. Simply for Geofencing on and off events. Eventually I'll link my thermostat for event, but that's where I'll leave it till my little one get's older. Then I'll be able to make events based on his movements. So when he opens a door or turns the TV to a channel not approved I'll get a notification. Good thing IFTTT wasn't around when I was a kid.
Will this work with the mlgw or is it just on the blgw.
thanks
