Finger marks on brushed alu

hi

anyone who know if it is possible to restore the front panel of a Beocord 5000 from the finger marks Of years of use?

Generally speaking It's more or less impossible to restore the brushed aluminium finish once it has been worn down by years of finger pressing. However, If it really is fingerprinting such as can occur on the touch points on the face of brushed aluminium on the likes of the Beocenter 2 then some improvement can be effected by using museum quality 'Renaissance' brand wax which leaves a very hard invisible coating with some resistance to further fingerprinting,
