Hi, I have one (beogram 4002 type 5504). Today, after turning on, the arm moves automatically and moves forward, but the arm does not fall, and then I press it up and down, but it does not work. . The top button below does not work, please guide me which part is broken and I have to do what I do and what part to check. Thank you for your guide

You cannot point your finger at the one specific component causing this.

There can be hundreds of reasons why the tonearm won't lower.

It will have to be diagnosed.

Is there a record on the platter?

Does the tonearm stop over the lead-in groove and just hover there?

Can you hear a solenoid click when the tonearm is supposed to lower?

Has a MMC cartridge been fitted on the tonearm?

Has the tracking force been set correctly?

Martin
