I guess that goes for the other streaming services as well.

I was come to the conclusion, that I - as an album listener/lover - was kind of oldfashioned.

This seems not to be true - at least not according to this article:

How do you listen - album or not?

Both, depending on my mood and such. I have playlists I use, and often play full albums. Recently I went on an Al DiMeola kick and listened to his first 5 albums, one after another in proper order. His first three albums are also in a 70s jazz playlist I play in random order. I know at one time due to how Apple first set up tracks for purchase, people loved buying just the tracks they wanted instead of the old album, but I think even if you are not fond of all tracks on an album there's a rationale for buying it whole. One, it's not that expensive to do the whole thing, and two, it's interesting to hear how the artist conceptualized the songs together as an album.

I listen to albums and playlists in roughly equal measure. There is plenty of room for both. Back in the day I’d make mixtapes of favourite tracks, and playlists take this to another level.

But one of the real advantages for me of streaming is that Spotify will prompt me to listen to new artists either through artist radio, discover weekly playlists etc. And I have found some great artists I may not have otherwise discovered. Then I’ve listened to their albums.......

I’m like Duels and listen to both albums and a random shuffle in equal measure.

I listen to a random shuffle when doing chores around the house, but I listen to albums when I take time to relax. I’m not really into streaming.
