Hello, I own Beomaster 2000 type 2913 and Beocord 2000 type 2923 and I want to buy speakers for that setup. Which one should I buy? I'm thinking about ones from Red line series, but which ones would be the best? What about RL 140? Looking forward for your recommendations!

I’d personally go with a set of RL60.2 instead of the 140s with that BM2000. Nice enjoyable sound from the RL60.2 (or RL6000), pretty efficient speakers too, and I am of the opinion that my 140s need some healthy power to sound great.

Also, I’d consider a set of CX100s (that have been refoamed) with a Cona to match the BM2000 style and sound.

Thanks for your opinion! And what do you think about S45.2?

I love them. They would sound great with your BM2000. Nice thing of this era B&O speakers you are looking at is they can be found for modest amounts of money and sold again without loss as you try other models until you find your favorite. I’m an advocate of buying them with their stands whenever possible.

Hi jedrek,

Welcome to Beoworld!

I would also recommend RL60, RL60.2 or RL6000 speakers, they are superb and well suited to an amplifier like the Beomaster 2000.

Also an option are the newer powered Beolab speakers, which can either link directly to the Beomaster headphone socket, or they can connect to the speaker terminals of the Beomaster via a small converter: https://soundsheavenly.com/line-in-connection/33-power-amplifier-to-beolab-line-in-attenuated-convertor-kit.html

Any questions, please ask!

Kind regards, Steve.
