One of my BL4000's just died. Well, it didn't completely die - it senses an audio signal and switches from red to green when fed a source. And I can daisychain a signal out of it to the other speaker. But no sound comes out of it. I've tried reversing cables/channels and played with the L-R-Line switch, all to no avail. It also doesn't seem to make the same clicking sound that it used to when turning on/off. It's about 10 years old.
Any ideas? My technical skills would probably get me as far as changing a fuse, but that's about it. Thanks in advance.
Sounds unusual, have you tried this swapping speakers to eliminate a cable/plug problem ?The fact you can daisy chain suggests the cable is not problem - but it is the only thing I can suggest.
Sounds like an internal component failure - unlikely to be a fuse - take it for service.
