Hi, so in one of my setup's I have the following;
BV 7-55 with BL 7-6, 2 x BL 8000's, 2 x BL6000's, 1 x BL2, B-Tooth, iPod via RCA cables
All connected up and working perfectly. However, when I play music via the iPod [cable from Steve @ SH, so no problems with the cable], the sound quality isn't great at all, it's OK but not great. I have set the TV to Speaker Setting 2, still not great
At first it was very bad but this was down to the quality of the MP3's being played. I play good quality MP3's and it's still not very good. If I play from Spotify via the XBOX, the sound quality is superb. Music via a TV channel is also very very good
Spotify via B-Tooth is absolutely rubbish, hence wanting to use an iPod directly connected
Does anyone have any experience with this? Is this just by design? Could it be that the cable is too long?
Would be good to hear from people that have used an MP3 device through a similar setup
Cheers,
T

Could it be a faulty mini jack socket on the iPod T? There shouldn’t really be any issues playing iPod via rca cables, it did that regularly on my old setup.
It's the loudness I suppose and crispness. The volume isn't the same to say comparing it to streaming via Spotify, the same song, through the Xbox
It's an iPod Classic Gen 5 and it's fine, device is fine, jack is fine. I'm sure I checked the sound setting, although there isn't much to check on the device
Can I get something like this for my iPod to the TV?
I'm shortly going to want to connect up another iPod in a bedroom to an Overture. I already have the cable but not tested it yet. Hope it's not as cr@p as this!
For the TV setup it's not a big problem as I can use Spotify via the Xbox, it works and great sound. Only issue here is that the Xbox goes to sleep
