Hello, all. I'm a new user and B&O owner. I just took delivery to a new (to me) RX2 turntable. I have a cartridge on order from Soundsmith, looking forward to receiving it so I can get some use out of the table. I obviously can't complete setup on it until that point, but I've plugged it in, pressed the cue button to make sure it spins up, etc.
The one thing I can note at this point is that there is a slight bit of audible rubbing at one point in the rotation of the platter. Does anyone have any pointers on how to diagnose where this rubbing would be and where the appropriate adjustments might be made?
Thanks,
Andy

Hi,
Everything is ok with your Beogram. It was my first question when I bought a Beogram 5000 without MMC . You can read about this here :

Scraping noise .. When I put MMC and vinyl scraping noise stopped.
BeO is like a good wine - the older the better...
Thanks for the list. I started checking the items that I could figure how to check. Everything checked out and then I noticed something far simpler: there was a loop of wire sticking up and rubbing on the underside of the sub-plater. I made sure it was looped down or if the way and gave the plater a spin and no more rubbing sound.
Guess I need to learn to check the simple things first. Now to wait for my cartridge so I can finish set up and testing.
The record sensing system can make a scraping noise if you attempt to start the deck without a record on the platter. That's normal.
