I recently bought a Bluesound Node 2i. At first I connected it directly to my Beolabs.
Today, I connected the Node via SP/DIF to the V1, so that I can use the BeoRemote One for volume control, and benefit from the various setting options of the System 4.
Everything works fine, except for MQA (ie. the Tidal Master files). Some of the MQA files play perfectly, whereas others remain completely silent. Any idea what is causing this behaviour?
This is what I found on the Bluesound website:
"Bluesound Players are a full MQA playback solution. They will decode and render MQA playback up to 24/192. If however you are connecting an external DAC, the maximum output will be 24/96 and MQA processing is not happening in the DAC."
Is it possible the System 4 in the Beoplay V1 is struggling with the output format of the Bluesound player?
Would love to get this sorted out
