I took Brynhilde on a small trip the other day and retrieved a Beocord 2000 De Luxe K.

The plinth was painted in black and the plexiglas lid has got hinges, screwed in the lid and the plinth. It is missing a black plastic detail and the lid had splashes of paint - yellow and white.

In other respect it is complete and after I removed the black paint, (itdid not concealed a teak plinth that I first believed, but the for me more attractive rosewood) the inside been vacuumed, the head cluster been cleaned and functions been checked, I connected it to the mains.

It works excellently although the musics on the six accompanying tapes not entirely where in my taste.

My plan is to connect it to Beolab 5000 but then the manual is missing intended I have to ask here in the forum what as is best way to do it on. 5-pins DIN between X and Y, or some other way?

Good catch. As your addition inspire me, I will start on mine today. I also found a manual in German, I can copy that to PDF and send it to you if you want.

Manual sent, be prepared its 11 megabytes, I mailed it to Keith also, so it will appear on the product pages shortly.

As this was my first PDF scan, pages 66/67 appears 2 times, and 54/55 upside down

Enjoying this thread, I'm keen to get my own reel to reel at some point.

I do have the original manual for the 2000 de luxe as seen here. I couldn't find it on the site, would it be of use to any of you if I scanned it in?

5 pin Din Lead  to 4 phono. Din to RADIO socket phonos to amp. This will give you signal in to record and signal out to replay.

Hello Ben. Do you still have a PDF of the manual for the 2000 de luxe ?

I have just won one on ebay and would love to have a read through this.

The unit I have won looks in OK condition except it doesnt have a back so I'll have to make one. Not sure of the mechanics or the electrics as the previous owner didnt have a lead. I understand its an IEC C9 though so can get one off of eblarp..

I do hope you read this message.

Thanks,

Steve.S (London)
