Hi guys
Sorry for the long silence. We had to skip our January release since the vacation period moved our timeline. This is now two months of development coming out. In this release we have many improvements to the Beolab 50+90 and to the Bluetooth products.
The beolab speakers now have the same UX as the other products and you can control the features from the individual cards. You can also control the sound direction and see the current direction from the cards. For this to work the best you need to update your Beolab speakers to the version released yesterday. A lot of bugs have been fixed on the speakers in that version. Also bass and treble control will not work until you have that version.
We are migrating all the features from the Beoplay app into this app and we started migrating the users as well. This has created a lot of feedback that we needed to deal with. We have added the Beoplay S3, added the ability to save tonetouch presets as your own (this is not in the beta yet, but will be today or tomorrow), improved the sw update experience.

Hi MrAndersen, is it not possible to adding the Timer option directly to the product page - like it is for the Alarm?

Since quite a while it has been possible to re-order your products in the products view (and not having them in alphabetic order).
It has also been possible to personalize the ‘radio functions’ showed - e.g. not to show nearby stations....
No matter how often I do this, it returns to default next time I open the app.
What is the point of being able to do this, when the app does not ‘remember’ my settings 🙄
Am I the only one with this problem (which has been discussed before)?
@ Thomas - If not, why can’t this be seen as a bug, that should have been focused on and adressed long ago?

So - untill now it seems to be an issue, that only I experience.
I never log out of the app.....I see no reason to do that.
I wonder if deleting the app (and reinstalling it) would help, but honestly I am not in the mood for setting it up once again.

I tried to add my S3 (which now should be possible).
However, when I tap the S3 icon, the app tells me that it has found an Avant tv and asks if it should be setup.
My Avant has been in the app for ages - I use it all the time from the app (mostly joining my Essence).
Since I don’t want that, I tap the Back button at the top - but nothing happens (occasionally it causes the app to crash).
Only way to get back is to close the app and open it again.
Not really sure, what I shall think of that ‘update’.
P.S. otherweise the app works well, does what I want/need for daily use - I use it all day.
Following Dyssegaard‘s feedback on missing TuneIn logos, just wanted to try to contribute with the information that in current official app version 2.2.0 logos are missing in both iPhone and iPad version. Not sure if it helps to isolate the reason more easily, but maybe it could.

@Nidi: On what product should the timer be added?
@millimissen: The problem where it forgets the order and radio categories is sooo strange. We have tried to repro this but cannot. The only way we can make it happen is to log out and in again. We are kinda stuck on it since we haven't got an indication of how it could happen. Nor is there anything in your logs. A simple app restart makes it happen every time?
@Dyssegaard: That is the latest version of the A1? We changed the tunein logos to use high res, we might have broken something there. I will log it as a bug. Yes the integrated setup is not fixed, we haven't opened this up. It is so very complicated to work on and test. It is on our backlog.
@millimissen: That sounds odd, the Avant should not appear again. If you click the S3 are you able to add it?
How can I get access to test the beta app? I have TestFlight installed on iPhone.

Ahh, well we have actually added that. You will see a red dot on the gear in the home view in case there is an update. The dot will then also be on the product in the product list

At first the new release couldn't access my BeoPlay A1 and S3.
After removing the A1 and S3 from the bluetooth devices on my iPhone 6 the app could add and access the A1 again. Still can't add the S3. It does find the S3 but when adding it I get the error "An error occured, trying to add the product to your account".
Functionality of BV14-40 remains excellent.

Think it would be nice to get some kind of visual indication that the app have detected e.g stop / start / next track .
You of course hear what is happening, but that would give a better feel.

@Fansastic: Our support is currently being restructured. We have an external company handling 1 tier, the more complicated cases will go to Beocare

Oh well, that makes me feel a bit calmer.
By the way - logging out and in again did not change anything here.
Another issue for the Android-app: the TV-remote suffers from clipping on smaller screens. So you can only turn volume and programma UP but not DOWN. Not really convenient :-)
What did you do to get the volume control activated for the BLC on the multiroom page? I do not get this in my setup. I am controlling a BV8-40 via the nl/ml converter. This would be really nice to have.
Could we also get “Touch to join” added as a function in the source list for the BLC ml/nl converter. Join already works with the Beo4 and BeoRemote one when controlling my BV8-40. So it should be simple to add in the app.

Same goes for the NL tv’s- I did request that some time ago.
Of course Join works well from the remote, but it would be nice to have that in the (source list of the) app as well.

Stability issue of the app.
From time to time I cannot switch to the BLC ML/NL converter from the production page. BLC controls my BV8-40.
I have 3 products listed on the product page:
Besound Essence
M3 speaker
BLC ML/NL conveter (BV8-40)
When you normally click once to change to manage that product it does not always work for BLC. The app will then not change to BLC so it shows in the bottom so you can control it. At the moment the workaround is to kill the app on the iPhone and launch the app again. Then I can select the BLC to control the BV8-40 until I happens again.
I cannot really find out what the pattern is for when it happens.

It’s already there! (At least for my V1, using the remote within the app, “Touch to join” is is the source list.

No, it isn’t - and yes it is......if you tap along to the tv remote part there.
But that wasn’t what I meant.
Anyway, if Touch to Join can be listed in the tv remote, it can’t be that hard to have it in the list on the Now Playing screen too.
PaulGiles:Has this addressed the deletion of the STAND in the list for BV?
There is still no possibility to handle the stand through the app.
OK... After firmware update of the BeoPlay S3 I can add it to the app... But no pictures of the S3, nor the possibility to choose which color.
