Dear M3 users,

I would like to share the following experience and check if some of you have faced this issue too.

Since two or three software updates, I have noticed sound drops for 2 to 3 seconds while M3 is operating, independently of the content (TuneIn, Deezer or DLNA). As the M3 is most of the time in a multiroom join situation, I initially thought that it was related to the Beolink sync settings that I increased, even if the WiFi signal is excellent from a M3 perspective, but this didn't change anything, the sound still drops, and sometimes, the M3 painfully gets in sync back with the product it joined (sound delay).

Today I decided to pay more attention to the M3's behavior and found that the sound drops every 5 minutes when the M3 had join another product. In order to identify if the root cause was the Wifi access point, I set the M3 as the main source and joined other products to it hoping that the sound drops will occur the same .... and they don't .... there is no single sound interruption in both M3 or other products.

I changed the M3 back to be the one joining another product and every 5 minutes sound drops are back!

Interesting isn't it?

Dear B&O, if you read me, what's happening in the box every 5 minutes?

Note: I never had similar issue with my other multiroom products.

That is a weird problem. You could try submitting a log of the M3’s activity online to B and O and seeing if they can diagnose the problem, through the online support feature.

Hi

I have had a similar problem when playing on my M3 through my NL/ML converter...when I played directly from Tunein on M3 og with my BS Moment as source there were no dropouts, The problem started a couple of months ago.

I am on the beta test program and after the last update the problem seems to have disappeared.

Thanks Soren - I’ll try with the Moment.

So far issue exists when Core and BS 1 are the source. I’m not on the beta track and my M3 has the latest public software.
