hi!

Apart from a BeoSound 2 I’m new to the brand.

Im planning to get a pair of Beolab 18:s for my living room.

I want to be able to stream music and I would like to be able to connect my Samsung tv to the speakers for tv  sound.

What would be the best setup for this? And how to connect.

Been looking at BeoSound core and Bluesound node 2i as streaming products.

Looking forward to get my B&O sound.

I personally have a pair of BL 18 (+ BL 19 and BL 8000) connected to a Core (through a Transmitter 1 for Wireless).
I use the Core to stream from Deezer, TuneIn, DLNA, and, from my Samsung TV that is connected to the Core via the optical input.

All work like a charm.

There is one constraint to know:

In order to avoid the TV image/sound out of sync issue, you must disable the optical in delay in the Core. With the delay off you cannot leverage B&O multiroom for this source.
Real life scenario: You want to listen to Deezer leveraging the TV app interface instead of the B&O App controlling the Core. The TV will stream the music via the Samsung optical port to the Core optical port. If you then join your BS 2 to the Core, the sound will not be in sync.

Thank you for your reply. Could you please describe how I would set it up with 18:s and one Core. I mean how and what cables do I need.

Does the core need to be connected to both speakers or just one?

I'm in a wireless setup, but I guess you'll have to daisy chain them: Core -> BL 18 -> BL18

Hi Niklasba,

Welcome to Beoworld!

Please use two of these cables (one from the Core to the first speaker, then another between the two speakers):-

Do you mean the node 2i as the only device or the node 2i on top of the Core?
