Hi all, I’m getting some curtains installed and want to link them with my BLGW. The installers are recommending Somfy but it’s looking like I have to get a global cache IP2CC and then also a Somfy RS485 Transmitter but it seems very very complicated!!

Any suggestions for other makes of curtain tracks or more efficient ways to communicate with a Somfy?

I believe there is a Lutron interface for BLGW.  Their equipment is reliable -- and stylish, especially if you use their own keypads for lighting, not just for draperies.  But it is probably no less complicated and almost certainly more expensive:

Try the Velux KLF 200 (not klr 200)

I use this gor my Velux skylights, works really well. I am not 100% sure of the support on IO of somfy but the gateway supports it and your installer can use another supported switch from somfy or Velux.

Let me know how you get on. If you buy into Khimo almost anything can be programmed through IFTTT and Webhooks.
