Hi - finally have my 4000 repaired/restored and hooked up to a 4400 with an MMC 4000 cart. Speakers are Mission 750 LE Anniversary bookshelf speakers on stands in a relatively small room (bedroom). The sound is a lot warmer than I had expected with absolutely stellar bass extension. Treble does feel a bit veiled but that could be the speakers. Judging from reviews of the B&O tangential turntables I had expected a colder sound. But this sounds pretty good to me. Anyone else have similar sound experiences?

Its a great combination - I used a 4002 with the 4400 and M100-2 speakers - treble was excellent - have you tried other sources as it could either be the cartridge, the  4400 or the speakers - if there is a marked increase with another souce then likely to be the cartridge, if not then try the speakers on another amp.
