As far as I'm aware that he been possible for a while.
In the app you need to go to the settings page, then Music then iTunes library. Switch this function on.
Then when you select the music option in the app and scroll to the bottom of the page yuor music stored locally on your Apple device is available.

In settings/Music there is no Itunes library. There is a Local Music option. Is it this, you are referring to?

I don't have thar reference at that menu..
My app is in danish, but as you can see, I have Lokal Musik in stead of Itunes Library....
On your home screen select the "cog gear wheel". This should bring up a list:
Account
Products
BeoLink
Music
Radio Support
About
Select this Music option and it will then display another list:
Deezer
DLNA
iTunes Library
Personalisation
Controls
Select the iTunes Library option and then enable by tapping the toggle option.
Then when you select Music at the bottom of the home page, scroll all the way down past your selected Deezer options and you will you can select music from your locally stored iTunes music; Songs, Playlists, Artists, Albums.
Worth asking if your Bang & Olufsen app is up to date, Should be version 2.5.19522
