I have fond memories of my first visit to a B&O dealer in Cardiff in 1999 I think. I was given a black and white B&O brochure book containing the latest products with some stories. It contained three memorable stories - one page had a horizontal BS9000 hung from the ceiling of a bar, the second story i remember was of a famous Scandinavian photographer who lived with his young family in a house off a sandy beach on an island off Sweden (Gotland I think) and finally a black and white image of a young boy playing in a living room in Japan in front of pair of BL6000s and I think he was the son of a Japanese priest. It was possibly a 1999 or 2000 publication. Does anyone have a copy or know where I could get a copy?

And there were different ,interested stories in each brochure
Yes, THAT is the ONE....! Brings back a lot of fond memories of discovering B&O.
Didn’t have the money as a student but I still drooled over this for hours.
Might try and contact B&O Denmark to se if they could send me a copy.
I have that one in English and you are welcome to it - just send me an email with your address - mcevedy(at)mac.com

My favourite manual, and one I do not have, is the US 1979 manual. For gold and silver members it is available here - Craig, if you are looking, this has a superb entry all about cartridges and how the MMC design works, much better than my amateur explanation!
And this one(I guess from 1992) i had to buy.Paid 80 belgian francs,at one of the tax free shops at port of Antwerp. And when i saw first Beovision in the flesh,I definitely felt in love with B&O design.By that time I could not afford it,but I promised to myself, one day or another you will get B&O...and dreams came true in 1998
Mine was the 1978/79 one when I was still at school - a red cover with the Beomaster 4400 and Beogram 4002 in it which I drooled over. I could only afford the Beogram 1500 at the time when I started work, I remember being annoyed that they change the tonearm and cartridges a year or so later. After that went onto buy a Beosystem 5000 which then changed a couple of years later to the 5500 with the Beolink 1000 remote. Same with the Beovision 7002, got one for my 21st Birthday and then the Beovisions changed radically - so for years my stuff always looked old fashioned compared to the new. Now I have given up and embrace vintage!
The catalogues were great though and I liked the later ones that had stories about the owners. One stuck in my mind about someone who bought his system at a flea market and they featured it in the catalogue and his story alongside all the new stuff.
Hi Alls,
Not actually a brochure but my first B&O Paper: and I did it, I mean actually design it as I was a young designer in an Ad Agency. Its A second hand market prices booklet at the times…
Great design,Matador
Tanks OldJack. That's very kind of you but it's not true!
Its efficient!
In fact, I dont know the right word in english because it's not really about the design: there's obviously none in that document. But it's about the guy who really put the things together: logos, text, pictures…
At that time I was really starting in that industry and, if i'm allowed, I was quite good at making boring tables when everybody wanted to do fancy covers.
I ended up with that job to do and i remember well i was thinking B&O was just common audio quality with too much expensive special looking.Looking back I believe it was just kind of a self defense for something out of my financial league.
Anyway, from that time I kept a deep love for papers brochures and catalogues and try to collect as much as i can for the brands I like (now sadly in pdf) and I totally understand the OP feeling.
Lucky all of you for having them in real paper
Sent you an email. Thanks Peter.
Sent today - thanks to my wife as I was emergency doctor today!
Would it be possible for you to scan it and share the magic as a PDF ?
