I’m not to sure about the speaker theories. Aren’t the lamellars too narrow aligned? I don’t like the wooden front of the lab 18 nor 50. This looks amazing though.

How about mechanical “curtains” of a new tv?

This would explain, why it is separated in the middle section 🤷‍♂️

Any further information about this? When it’s revealed or so?

Power amplificator for the palatial and celestial speakers.

The metal grills are heat dissipators.

Because of lamellas, it looks to me like it could be something speaker-related. B&O uses lamellas only in front of speakers.

And its rectangular shape... ...hmm reminds me potentially of this bottom part of rollable OLED where sound system and speakers are.

BO:DC Copenhagen Bang & Olufsen A/S COMPANY INFO 62.00 DKK -19.40 -23.83%

-10% turnover expected due to poor tv sales.

Eclipse is way too expensive, no more sound systems, no more BL3/BL12/BL14 range, too many software issues (is getting better), poor after sales, poor sales strategy, declining dealership network...

-25% share value seems logical

Really hope that B&O will come with solid strategy on both development, pricing and sales...

Maybe the teaser is the light after darkness

@CB

You had to challenge pp... I’m surprised he didn’t go nuts.

Two things why I think he’s wrong.

1: the lamellars are directed from top to bottom. (Not the way he has put them)

2: they are split / separated in two. What I mean, there’s a gap in between the units. As there is “magic” mentioned in the description, I guess they move apart. Yes to reveal something behind those units.

Moreover: John from b&o of Manchester has mentioned in the “BEOTALK” podcast on YouTube that we shouldn’t give up on moving elements (in tvs) yet. Furthermore there has been quite a while since speakers were stritctly rectangular. I guess the lab 3000 and 4500 were shaped as a square. Neither the lab 7’s nor 10... have been built in that shape. There has always been some elegance in the design. Even the sound-center of the eclipse is curved.

But the tv has to be in a boxy shape. As you can’t make them anything thinner I guess they are bold enough to give them a special look. Personally I couldn’t care less if the tv is 5cm or 20cm of depth 🤷‍♂️

The “problem” with such an advanced / magical tv will be the price, that comes along with it. But on the other hand, the bv 9 also used to be up to 20k? If I’m not mistaken ;-)

Hopefully there will be some speakers in a similar wood / aluminium design as it really looks awesome Cool

Well CB, you have challenged Peter Pan on this one :-) There are two reasons, why I think PP is wrong on this one.

1. In the original Post of MM the lamellas are orientated from top to bottom. In PP mockup it is from left to right.

2. The original Picture shows a gap in the middle of the two parts. As long as Peter Plan doesn't plan a line array underneath his telly this doesn't make sense.

Reasons why I think there is a sneak peak of a TV:

- The dimensions the picture suggests. It occurs to me, that it is either quite tall, (hight and wide) or the lamellas are really tiny and thin.
- John from B&O of Manchester said in an episode of Beotalk on Youtube, that we shouldn't give up on the movement (in Televisions) yet.
There Hasn't been much of magical movement in loudspeakers. The most i can remember are the acoustic in the lab 50's and car Audio. (hopefully this is not a car speaker, maybe pp does a mockup of an Audi A8 with this as a center Speaker :-D)
- The shape of this device seems to be pretty much boxy / rectangular ( shown / hinted by the gap in the middle). Speakers havent been boxy since the lab 3000 or 4500 were discontinued. (Please correct me, if I'm wrong) neither the dedicated center speakers Lab 7.x nor 10 have been in a rectangular shape. Well, the speaker of the Avant maybe, but even the Eclipse's sound center has some elegance to it's shape. TV's on the other hand have to be in that shape. They can't make TV's thinner, so they probably tried to make them more beautiful. Personally I couldn't care less, if the TV has a depth of 5cm or 20cm.

If this is a telly with moving wooden curtains I'd be really happy, even though the price will be of the same magic. :-D

I hope there will be some sort of speakers with a similar wood / aluminum design.

My bets are with a soundbar with some moving magic....

Given that the recent financial report from B&O says that demands for their TVs are low, I think they need to hurry up.
