Hello everybody,
I'm an Italian B&O enthusiast.
I own a Beosound 3000 and a couple of Beolab 8000 and now I have bought a Beosound 9000 mk 3 that I have always dreamed of.
The question.
I always cut the power off the Beosound and Beolab to protect them when not in use.
No problem with the Beosound 3000 when I turn the power on.
But, with the Beosound 9000, every time I turn the power on, a bad and loud noise comes from the loudspeakers, so that I fear they can break. In the meantime, the cd white light turns on for a while and, after a fraction of second, turns off.
Then, the Beosound 9000 seems to work right.
Can someone tell me if that behaviour is right and common to every Beosound 9000?
A Very Warm Welcome to Beoworld..
Your problem sounds like incorrectly wired PowerLink cables.
Did you make the speaker cables yourself or are they standard purchased cables?
Regards Keith....
Hi Keith,
many thanks for your reply.
I'm using the same cables which I had. And I have had no problem with the Beosound 3000. The power cables are built by myself, while the power link are stock.
The odd thing is the flashing cd light along the noise...
Sounds what I call the alarm.
After a 30mn power off you have to enter pin code on the MK3.
If you don't you get the speakers going on/off every few minutes and it's stuck in CD 1.
Enter pin code each power off more than 30mn or disable pin code !
Many thanks Greg,
When at home I'll try and letto you know
Hi,
unfortunately, it was not a PIN issue.
In fact, the PIN code is off.
I guess there was some electronic issue...
