Can a Avant 55 mk1 run 4:4:4 chroma over HDMI?

I wonder because my Apple TV 4K gives the option between 4:2:0 and 4:4:4. It’s written that it depends on the cable, rather than the TV. But I believe it is both.

I’ve used Apples own thin HDMI cable due to the space behind my Avant. I have now also unsuccessfully tried with Kramer thin HDMI and will try another higher quality cable as well, probably to no avail.

The TV needs to be able to support it as well. The feature is only available on the Avant NG version including the Horizon and BV14. The software was introduced in version 0.5.0.70.

I have just read an interesting article which states in their conclusion that there is no additional benefit unless you’re using the screen as a PC monitor.
