Dear BeoWorlders,

I am for the moment building a new house and would like to hear your ideas on how to use my BeoStuff in the best way. Use is radio for kitchen, some play of music for listening and now and then TV and movie.

The plan for the house is shown below built with the living room as a "tunnel" from the partly sunny west side (top) to the view to the east (bottom). The profile of the tunnel (and the rest of the house) is shown as well in the next post. At the same floor there is the kitchen, TV-room, main bedroom and a bathroom. Red dots mark where there is connection to the technical room prepared for CAT7.

Currently in stock (but proposals for reasonable extension are welcome):

  • BeoVision Avant 32 RF DVD
  • BeoSound Overture and BeoLab 2500 (with wall bracket)
  • BeoLab 4000 (one pair with wall brackets)
  • BeoLab 2000
  • Beo 5

Thank youWink

The profile cut through the livingroom, which is on 1st floor.

Reading from left to right and top to bottom (like avant CRT) where the 6th red dot is, that is where I think the Avant or its successor should sit - and since I want movie heaven when I retire that's where I would put the drop down screen !

Nice plan btw !

Thanks elephant.

The Avant is placed in the TV room ("TV-stue") where a flat screen is indicated (It´s real flat, isn´t it?) followed by a pair of BL6000.

For the kitchen ("Kjøkken") a Bl3500 is recently brought home. I have also bought 100 m ML cable...

For the living room ("Stue") I have not yet decided what to do (only that it will be without a TV). From the picture below you se the Overture with the BL2500 connected on the bench. At the moment the BL4000 are on visit as well for testing. As you can see from the drawings the room is 40 m2 and having a ceiling up to 3.5 m. The architect would like to keep the bench as clean as possible and not have any obstacles in front of the windows. Do you have any proposals for speakers and placement?

Regards

I would place the two BL4000s above the windows, one in each corner. Do not ono with color but I guess they are silver so then I would buy white frets.

If you get a Beolink Active (for around 1000 DKK) you can place the Beosound in another room.

My B&O products: Beosound 9000, Beosound 2300, Beosound Century, Beolab 8000, Beolab 6000, Beolab 4000 x2, Beolab 3500, Beolab 2000, Beolab 10, Beolink Active x2, Beotime, Beo5 x2, Beo4, A9 keyring x2, LC2 dimmer x6 and growing....

Thanks Rivenflush, I think that is a realistic solution.

I have, however, been playing with the idea to integrate two BeoLab 15s above the windows and and BeoLab 16 in the wall behind the sofa. Any thoughts about how that will sound?

Hi All,

Time for an update:)

The living room (stue) has got the BS9000 with the BL6000:

These can also be seen from the kitchen where the BL3500plays:

Next to the kitchen is the TV room with the BV Avant 32 RF and the BL4000. The Avant got smart recently:

I the living room is also a BS Overture with BL2500 acting as speakers for the electronic part of the piano (do you see the Beo5 for the BS9000?)

One sleeping room has even got a BL2000:

What a nice collection.

Amazing how well the (old) design blend into conteporary interior design.

Well done! Smile

So, the good old Avant was replaced by a BV7-40 MKVI (monitor only) with BL7-4. Altibox and Apple TV hidden on the wall behind. Under on the green case is a PS4 that I hope to wall mount as well. However, that will make the cables behind visible. Any idea how to hide them as well? A BL2?

And finally the cave in the basement aka The Blue Cinema is finished. Maybe only a B&O coach is missing. An old BV4-50 sourcing ATV and PlayStation from my dealer surrounded by four second hand BL5000s. All four have functioning displays, have blue fabrics and where found in the small community where I live.

That's where you realize that B&O looks always better on catalogs, where nothing is connected Confused

In real life, it's either a lot of wall work or thick and ugly wires or wires tunnels…

Nevertheless, the view from your main room is awesome!

En 7-4 er fin, det har jeg til 7-40en. Jeg tror det viktigste er en oppgradering fra BSys 2 til 3. Men det er Finn.no som gir mulighetene...
