Experience with third party amplifier for beovox speakers

I am helping a friend finding a solution for bringing a pair of CX100 speakers in to the 21st century and connect them to a streaming device without using af beomaster in between. 

The Beoamp 2 seems to be a nice soultion for this but the price tag might be a little over budget. 

Then i fell over this ebay auction and wondered if anyone has expericence with this product?
