Hi everyone,

To start things off, I'd like to give a little bit of backstory to the beosound 9000 I have. My dad purchased the cd system along with the speakers back in the day but always kept it on display. I've only seen him use the system once - and that was at least 5 years ago. After moving for 3 years, I was exploring through our storage room and came about the whole system sitting in a corner. After moving it out and sorting the cables, I plugged the two speakers in and immediately noticed a red light. When I plugged the CD player in, I again noticed a red light - but it only lasted for about 10 seconds. During this time, the CD changer unit was making noises - but it wasn't moving in any direction. After the light died, I wasn't able to power the unit back on anymore. I tried plugging it into a different socket and turning the system on and off - but so far I've had no luck.

I don't know the exact model of the unit, but it says type 2564 underneath the control panel. Also, the system had a dust cover protecting it throughout the years, so I don't think it's damaged from debris or dust.

Any help is appreciated!
