Ever wondered why TVs are measured diagonally?

Hi Beoworlders,

After visiting B&O Lincoln today, I learnt something new that may interest you....

I had previously thought that TVs were measured from corner to corner because of sales reps trying to make screens sound as large as possible, but it turns out that isn't the real reason why it is done that way.
