The Eclipse V2,

Have been confirmed on the last podcast from B&O presenting the latest annual report.

The rumors say it is the same as the current, but with a LG C9 internal.

So still not a off the shelf tv as the Harmony.

Therefore I will guess the price will stay the same for the 55" I think that they will have to adjust the price on the 65".

Thank you very much for the price list. I'm already really excited about the new soundbar.

In addition one sees quite clearly the past main problem of the Beovisions:
Just the panels (no sound):
LG 65 C9 - 23000 dkk
LG 65 C9 software modified - 45600 dkk

LG OLED prices tend to fall by 30% from launch to the final few months before the next years models arrive.

So I'd use that as a guide for how much the Harmony (and others) price will fall from October to June.

I can’t remember seeing/hearing/reading anything official about an Eclipse V2 - what is your source?

I do have heard the rumours, and think it very well possible, that there will be a version 2.

Oh I can see I made an mistake, the soundcenter is actually more expensive on the 65" inch, so less for the Screen.

And not only software but also hardware have been modified, but yes very expensive.

Thanks - will do.

Actually I intented to, but forgot it.

P.S. My dealer told me that the dealers have pushed very hard to get this version 2 - initially they did not wanted to do that in Struer.........but still that was no official announcement.

He also told me that it won’t come cheaper as the first Eclipse.

If the soundbar you quote is the much anticipated one, I am getting seriously concerned. 12kkr is nothing considering this is a B&O product. Basically the same price as a Beosound 1 and quite a bit less than Beosound 35.

It has to be either a complete OEM product or a very, very limited soundbar.

I have seen the pictures of it, and have a second hand sound experience.

It looks good, but there will be different versions of finish and therefore different prices, 12.000kr. is base price.

It is very limit if the rumors are true, but it is still multiroom, and make the LG OLED 9 gen. controllable with Beoremote one, which in imo is the most important factor.

The Beosound 1 have a lot more ALU, and the Beosound 35 was prices way too high, even B&O could see that in the missing sales.

I personally think that this is going to be a bestseller, and the way the average Joe can get the Beovision feeling.

Could it even be the "repacked" sound system from the Horizon? Good that it is targeted at affordable price and able to bring Beoremote One experience to the LG C9.

I assume that the sound bar will be able to connect to other surround speaker, preferred both wireless and with cable.

I would see myself having a sound bar like this with a LG screen, multi room and surround are basic features to be expected.

Hallo beolion,

Yes for me that one is also more interesting, but it will properly be a lot more expensive.

The rumours about this one are also very few, and the timeframe seems long still.

Will the soundbar be only for LG televisions ?

And only in 55' and 65' ?

Do you know more about the brackets ?

I don't know if there will come a official bracket, or only from STB, so only a guess.

The soundbar is universal and can be use with every tv,

But will have Beoremote function on LG gen 9, so C9 E9 and so on in all sizes

Can someone decipher the B&O strategy here?

If the soundbar is a succes it will for sure cut into the sale of the Eclipse, strike one.

It gets even more critical if the PeterPan promoted WISA dongle actually works, strike two.

Top that with some sort of LG TV control with a BR ONE BT,  third strike and the Eclipse is out!

Is it simply indicative of things to come, or perhaps - not come?

Apart from that,- I am so curious as to how they pushed the price that far down for the soundbar. something's fishy!

Or perhaps (hopefully) they finally had training in how the Laffer curve works! Smile

I don't believe that in many cases that it is the same customers,

You can't add any speakers

You don't have a motor stand or wall bracket

And there is still better sound in the Eclipse,

Also you would be missing PUC.

So yea I would see it more as they a going to sell a lot, who havn't bought B&O for years, or maybe ever before.

Yes, as explained many times before they are pretty much exiting the BV business. Continuing the Eclipse doesn’t really count.

And again, as has been articulated before, the upcoming sound bar is a simpler product than the full sound centre a la Eclipse.

Personally, I see it as a sensible idea on B&O part, although it won’t satisfy everyone

I don’t hope so. I simply cannot see how they can justify the ability NOT to sell additional speakers to those who might want surround later on. They will probably - as always - not offer lossless de-coding but let it be up the the player/source to do it.

But I agree. It’s a tricky ball game. Going forward there will maybe only be room for a sound bar and the harmony (and Harmony is basically just another sound bar). Eclipse is too expensive BUT the design is quite unique (like it or not) - this might justify its existence.

Interesting times ahead.
