Hi,

I'm working on a new AV setup and wondered which AV receiver you guys would suggest I get.

As some of you may have read in another thread, I'm setting up a little 'home automation' project with the main goal of controlling the whole audio/video setup with a simple BeoRemote One (BT). Many thanks to samsp for the input and help regarding this.

I listen to music, mainly my own bought music collection through itunes on a mac (airplayed to other rooms). I watch movies and series through a kodi application on the same machine.

I currently have an ancient JVC amp connected to a set of (equally ancient) Bose cubes and a subwoofer (5.1). I'm looking out for a set of Beolab 9s as fronts, but may keep the passive rear speakers as there is no power supply in the ceiling. I will thus need an amp that also has pre-out for the beolabs.
5.1 is enough for me, I'm not really interested in adding more speakers.

I'm not (yet) familiar with these units, but was looking at a Marantz SR5013. Good choice, or should I considered something else?

Are there any technological advances that I should keep in mind. Is eARC something worth waiting for, or is a digital audio OUT connection on the TV as good (for say Netflix audio)? Not sure if there is much content, but I'd like my investment to be 'future proof', or at least not 'I just missed a major update'. I could wait a few more months if something significantly better is coming 'soon', if you know what I mean.

Tv is to be upgraded too. I think I bought an LG LCD panel in a time when they were still built to last, it's 13y old. Looking at a high end 55" OLED panel (though current QLED are getting good reviews too...). Not sure which yet.

Any advice will be greatly appreciated!
