Hello everyone,
I joined the ranks of Bang & Olufsen ownership recently. I am the proud owner of a Beomaster 5000, Beocord 5000 and a Beogram TX2.
I noticed that some of the inputs on the Beomaster use a DIN connector. Would this input work well with balanced XLR outputs? I am in search of a CD player and trying to find what options I have. Also, would the S45 2 speakers pair well with this setup?
Thank you in advance,
Bill
Hello Bill,
Welcome to Beoworld! Your B&O products use unbalanced connections (RCA/phono and DIN) so there is no advantage in using sources with balanced XLR outputs with your B&O system. It is possible to connect XLR but care is needed to match the signal levels so that you don't lose sound quality.
Please let me know which products you wish to add and I will be happy to help you to find the best solution.
Kind regards, Steve.
Steve.
